‘Time to Talk’ Day – 1st February 2018

Thursday 1st February 2018 was ‘Time to Talk’ Day, the Time to Change organisation’s day that encourages people everywhere to talk about mental health: “Time to Talk Day is a chance for all of us to be more open about mental health – to talk, to listen, to change lives”.

The Clinical Networks hosted a Time to Talk Day event at Waterfront 4, our base in Newburn, with our NHS England and Health Education North East colleagues. A programme of activities including lunchtime walks and comedy workshops complemented the inclusive atmosphere in the Opportunity Cafe, where healthy food for wellbeing was being served. The Mental Health First Aiders from the building held a drop-in session for anyone to have a chat if they needed to.

Several members of the Mental Health Network team attended the comedy workshop led by Sharon Race of Laughing Lasses, and made full use of the Time To Talk temporary tattoos to spread awareness around the office!
