Perinatal Mental Health Services Across the North East and North Cumbria

In 2016 the Northern England Perinatal Mental Health Network carried out a mapping exercise of current service provision across the North East and North Cumbria region to help identify the gaps in service and provide recommendations to support the development of good quality Perinatal Mental Health services.

We supported the North of England Commissioning Support Unit (NECS) to map current perinatal mental health service provision through Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) services with the aim being to offer all mums and families high quality and timely perinatal mental health services that need it as close to home as possible. Read the North East and North Cumbria scoping report.

A document collating the baseline findings of the whole North region, including Yorkshire & Humber and North West Coast Clinical Networks is also available: Download IAPT for Women in the Perinatal Period Baseline Findings report.
